Now mention friends in Facebook without ‘@’

  • All credit goes to twitter for founding the ‘@’ option in social networking. After that, it was Facebook’s turn to use the symbol for linking friends into comments. But what comes as a major revelation is that Facebook has now stopped the use of @ symbol while linking users.

    While you may have noticed it, some of you might not have. But take a look at the example below. I just typed the starting 3 letters of a friend’s name and voila – I automatically get suggestions, without adding the @ symbol before them!facebook-friend-link

    But this does not mean that Facebook has completely phased out the @ Symbol. It is still there all right, but now, reductant!
