YouTube Player gets a new look

  • You must have noticed Google’s new changes over the year, like the changes in its homepage, the changes on its maps service and all.

    But now, the change wave has hit Youtube, which is owned by Google. If you hurried along to Youtube to see some change, you are in for a bad luck: The change is not in the appearance of the website, but its Video player.

    If you have no idea what I am taking about, then this might help:

    As you can see, nothing much has changed other than the color of the control bar. If you compare this to the Google’s black bar, then you will find a striking similarity, with the weird inclusion of black.

    The functionality, if you are wondering, remains unchanged.

    This interface is currently not available for videos that are displayed in Channels, etc, they are available only in individual video playbacks. That’s all for now.
