Megaupload, the file sharing website, which was seized by the FBI, due to criminal copyright infringements, will return, Bigger, Better and Faster – according to the website owner (and a freedom fighter he claims), Kim Dotcom.
On his twitter account on Friday, Kim posted the following tweet:
SOPA is dead. PIPA is dead. ACTA is dead. MEGA will return. Bigger. Better. Faster. Free of charge & shielded from attacks. Evolution!— Kim Dotcom (@KimDotcom) July 4, 2012
Apparently, it looks like Kim has been waiting for SOPA, ACTA and PIPA bills to fall out, before starting out any new venture of his. He also said that it will be free of charge, and shielded from attacks, possibly from other hackers, and maybe even from the law itself.
Of late, Kim, who is under house arrest, is planning to release a music sharing app for smart phones, called “Megabox”, and it is also a possibility that he might be referring to that app, instead of MegaUpload.
Ironically, the tweet was posted on the 4th of July, the American Independence day. As of writing, the tweet received nearly 17,000 retweets and 3,200 favorites, along with many questions, none to which Kim has replied.
