  • Merry Christmas, folks! While you are all up preparing for Christmas, here is something fun that should keep you excited of all the gift Christmas brings – tracking Santa Claus online as soon as he lifts of from the north pole. There are many ways to do this:

    Christmas at NORAD

The NORAD (North American Aerospace Defense Command) has their NORAD Tracks Santa program (every year since 1955) where you can visit the website for computer generated images of Santa flying all over the world, with many videos from “Santa Cams” all over the world, as well as video with voiceovers from famous personalities. [ Why does a defense establishment track Santa? See the history at Wikipedia ]

NORAD also has a windows 8 app (which uses Bing Maps) to track Santa. If you have Windows 8 installed, then you can download and install the app.

Earlier, Google used to work with NORAD to track Santa, but after NORAD decided to stick with Microsoft, Google decided to create its own “Track Santa” Campaign called Santa Tracker. As soon as Santa lifts off from north pole, Google will stop the countdown and track Santa.

For all the people who actually doubt the credibility of this [Stop reading this if you believe in Santa], these sites are a series of fake locations of a imaginary person. Nothing real here. However, you can use these sites to maintain the spirit of Christmas and also keep your kids and loved ones (who believe in Santa) happy.

Wish you a Merry Christmas and a happy new year.
